Board for demonstrating the effect of decoupling/bypass capacitors on power integrity
A test board designed to demonstrate the necessity of using decoupling capacitors, without which there will be large voltage drops/spikes on the power rail of a circuit that has a quickly varying current consumption, leading to EMI and stability issues. Basic information about decoupling capacitors and voltage drops on PCB traces (due to inductance and resistance) is included.
